Eliza Bentz is a fiber artist and sculptor based in Savannah, GA, who transforms natural materials into refined sculptural works.
Her practice explores the intersection of craft and industrialization, using slow, hand-driven processes to reclaim tactility and presence in a culture shaped by speed and convenience. Through careful material attention, she reasserts the value of the handmade, creating objects that invite touch, focus, and a slower way of seeing.
Bentz holds a BFA in Fibers from the Savannah College of Art and Design (2017) and an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Georgia (2025). She has exhibited, taught, and held residencies nationally and internationally, and continues to live and work in Savannah.
