Sarah Stevenson is a Canadian artist whose practice spans sculpture and drawing. Born in England and raised across multiple Canadian cities, she received her BFA from the University of Victoria in 1984 before settling in Montreal in 1988. Over the past three decades, her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam), the Galleria d’Arte Moderna (Bologna), and the Esker Foundation (Calgary).
Stevenson has long been represented by Galerie Blouin/Division in Montreal and more recently by Galerie Trépanier Baer in Calgary. This fall, she will take part in a residency at Fogo Island, continuing her exploration of form, line, and spatial presence.
